Well, my friend, if you own a micro job site be ready for new challenges. If you live in India ,UK or Spain or even Romania expect a new form of competition.
I don’t like to say bad things about other sites, especially about fiverr, as might be misinterpreted like I have
something against them. Matter a fact, I don’t like to say anything bad about anyone…but when I do it like this, it is with good reason.
Since early this year, the locomotive of this amazing young industry – fiverr, became a bit bland in its evolution. That’s why was in my mind there will always be new rules developing.
The famous Fiverr sheep wanted to go Europe, so we took her to Munich, Germany and while there we said “what the heck, if we’re here already, we might as well launch Fiverr Germany, right?!” and so we did. Herzlichen Glückwunsch Germany, you have your own Fiverr - http://fiverr.de/
So right now you NEED to think twice. Is your site is GOOD enough to be OPEN to new ways of development and new challenges? Is your LOCAL business is mature enough that it should not be bought by fiverr??
Germany is somehow a special country , here was developed a lot of fiverr clones like Dealerr, Ein5er, Yoofive and even fiverr some people will say..lol and more…. And yes if you ask me I will also start with Germany as there are a lot of extraordinary conditions for development. Take a look at YooFive and you’ll understand, think Mercedes, Bmw or Porsche and of course you’ll feel imagination, power and fine development.
I spend a lot of time in Germany and I was amazed about Germans vision, quality of life and discipline.
Again think twice and ACT once.

Wow, interesting. Kind of amazed they chose Germany to start in since its a relativly small market and already saturated by so many other sites!

Well i guess this is what you call expansion.
Fiverr is a mature business and take every step after related research. Europe is the “service provider” market as Fiverr already have “service buyer” market at .COM
Its there expansion to reach quality service providers thus making the concept stronger for buyers.
Indeed, a nice step as ‘fiverr’ however quite a competition to other micro job sites in Europe.

@Carson, I agree with Christian on the point that Fiverr market is far from being saturated. When it gets saturated, Fiverr should be right behind Craigslist. Wouldnt you think?
Take a look at Alexa traffic for Fiverr. It was up 13% in the past 30 days alone. Up 45% in the past 3 months.
Zeerk has much potential as well. It is unfortunate that you are not so focused on it and as a result may lose your #2 position after Fiverr (to hopefully, gigoftheday). Not sure what’s going on, but sales at Outsourcerr have gone up 5 fold in the last 1 week. Perhaps just a coincidence or is it that the Fiverr market is NOT saturated like you think!!!

Can you imagine coming up with a fiverr in every language in Europe? That would be insane. I was just checking how craigslist manages their sites. Believe it or not, they go off of craigslist .org in all countries except Germany, where they use craigslist .de
Fiverr is doing a smart thing. Why reinvent the wheel?
